Veterans are accustomed to utilizing Military terminology as standard practice and a way of life. Unless the veteran is applying for a Defense contracting position, translating military skills to civilian terms can be exasperating and discouraging. Civilians are not familiar, nor presented with opportunities to acquaint themselves with military acronyms, i.e. MOS, or most military terminologies. In most cases, learning military terminology is not a priority thus establishing a communication barrier.
Military Athletics facilitates and provides assistance during this difficult transition. As a result, our veterans encounter less disappointing and dissuading circumstances and instill hope for a better future. Our Programs, Volunteer opportunities, and internship positions, offer an alternative method in assisting our veterans as their lives shift out of military procedures and routines.
